ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING
JUNE 17, 2024
The Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting was held on Monday, June 17, 2024 with Chairman Michael Lathan presiding. In attendance were members Crista Boldt, Tim Thomas, Leslie Krajewski and new member Robert Chapman and Sherry Roberts-Snell; Barbara Radley was acting as secretary in the absence of Walt Kershenski, Jackie Ali was also absent. Andrew Darling was also attending.
There was no reading of the minutes in the absence of Walt, no Old Business was discussed.
Robert Chapman was sworn in as a member by Barbara Radley as was Sherry Roberts-Snell as an alternate member.
Chairman Lathan explained a Variance Request by Don Smith at 6046 Main Rd. on the corner of Route 5. Don had separated the land he owned at 6034 Main Rd. and now has sold 6034 and kept 6046. This variance is to have a shed built on the property, which is considered a secondary structure with no intention of building a primary structure.
Normally, the permit would be granted with a stipulation that a primary structure is built within 18 months. Don has no intention of building a primary structure.
Leslie Krajewski made a motion to hold a Public Hearing at 7:00pm on July 15, 2024 to further discuss this matter, second by Tim Thomas and approved on a unanimous vote.
Rob Chapman made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:40pm, second by Sherry Roberts-Snell and approved on a unanimous vote.
